Our pick of the best plastic-free soaps

The team at realplasticfree.com choose our pick of the best plastic-free soaps!

What is plastic-free soap?

Why does a simple bar of soap need to be wrapped in plastic? It doesn’t. At realplasticfree.com we have a range of household products – including health and beauty department that is completely void of plastic.

This is great news as by now, you’ve probably heard of micro-plastic. Soap bars are just one area of your life where you can avoid accidentally supporting teeny tiny bits of plastic going down your bathroom drain that eventually live within the delicate ecosystems of our oceans.

The following soaps are all wrapped in cardboard or paper and made with exceptional ingredients using traditional soap-making methods. What’s more, they are all free from the chemical nasties you will often find in mainstream soap brands.

Soap and water and common sense are the best disinfectants.

Faith in Nature Orange Soap

We love the Faith in Nature brand for its range of gentle bodycare products, and especially love its orange handmade soap. This was the brand’s first vegetable soap and it produces a wonderful lather despite having no SLS (sodium laureth sulphate) or parabens in it. You can happily sniff the refreshing scent of the 100% natural orange oil, and it is a perfect way to start the day.
